Why Should I Plant Seeds of Christianity in an Unreachable People Group
Why Should I Plant Seeds of Christianity in an Unreachable People Group? Is there an unreached people group out there that could be a real home for your church? Perhaps there is, and with a little research you can find out just how to get started. The first thing to remember when looking for an unreached people group is that most churches have never had anyone call them out of the blue and ask if they could be a part of their church. And even if there has been such a call, most churches will be very wary about extending their invitations because they have all kinds of problems trying to deal with someone who has nowhere else to go.What's more, in order to make an inviting church, one might want to think a little bigger. A little wider. Nowhere, but outside of the normal walls of the church for an undiscovered or unreached person group, let alone their own congregation. If you really want to bring the gospel to some otherwise unreached people group, you're going to have to break the chai ns of a single church. There are going to be other churches that need your help, and they're not going to be in the big cities where you're used to seeing the doors for these people groups open. Not everyone is ready to be a Christian when they come to Christ first, so as you spread the word among individual people, the result is usually lukewarm at best. It's not their fault though; it's because they were never taught about God or religion at school. Their family members rarely let them see any worthwhile books or programs about religion, and by the time they become adults they don't know a lot about the subject either. Some of the people in your unreached people group might be from a poor family, and maybe they can't afford to attend a fancy church. Maybe they can't afford to pay the high ticket price to be members of your church either. Maybe you have just never seen any literature that would teach them about God and religion. If this is the case, how can you go ahead and introduce yourself as a church-planting pastor? How can you tell other churches that you're there to help others reach their God-given potential?Remember that if you really want to plant seeds of Christianity in an unreached people group, you're going to have to give them a glimpse of your own spiritual growth and teaching. You might have to be patient, but you can be a God-fearing pastor someday.
